Chapter 99

HELLO HELLO!!!
I just realised I’ve gone MIA for two weeks…
Haha… The ‘King’ is back on a two weeks block leave and we’re in a process of a competition call who-on-the-com-first-gets-to-use-the-com…
Haha… So that explains why I kept hearing tumbling and RAPID feet shuffling noises the moment I got home…

Hahaha… Never mind about that…
I have a BIG heart hur… haha…

Let me recall some happenings…
Last Saturday, was it last sat?? haha… oK watever~

We had our lantern festival celebration at Yishun bball court…
Attendees include me, lara, shihui, ant, sel, liang, nicholas, des, wx, james…
Quite a big group… haha…
But the girls were mainly the ones keeping to the tradition of playing with lanterns…

We played some bball in the dark till late too… Haha…
I realised after graduation, we’re all busy with our lives…
Occassional meetups became more precious…
Let’s keep the 2406 Muggers Gang going… hAhaa!!

Last Sunday, my whole family headed to the temple for a big annual event…
It’s the day to commemorate the birth of a god… (Jiu Wang Ye)
Despite the need to bulldoze our way through the crowded temple,
or reeking of incense scent,
or maybe high probability of ashes landing on your head,
there’s always reasons to attend this annual event…

The most obvious reason is of course, dad’s participation in the event.
And the whole thing never fails to keep our curiousity high…
We always flood our dad with silly questions like how many brothers does the god has etc..
HAHA… The answer is 9 btw…

And the whole process is interesting….
Most importantly, not forgetting, the FREE MAMA-LICIOUS CURRY BEEHOON!!
haha…

People mountain people sea…

The whole crowd set off from the temple to ECP to…
“receive the god”.. (haha… I dunno how to explain in explicit terms…)

Okay… This is interesting…
Some ‘high-ranked” person from the temple will go into the waters to ‘receive’ the god…
HAHA…

The three of us were like giggling and laughing away when Mum said,
“Eh… Dun play around… Jiu Wang Ye very SERIOUS n PURE one you know…”

Trio: oOoOoOo…. PURE~~~~~~

And didi popped out a question…

Zario : The Jiu Wang Ye come from where arh? He come by what??
Me    : Eh…. HAHAHAHAHHAHA….
Heng (elder bro): DAYONG SAMPAN~… dayong~ dayong~ sampan~…

All (me, MUM, didi): HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA…..

After the god is received, everyone will go… “QIA!!!”
It meant “invite” in hokkien…

Haha… Happening moment…
Coz you will actually see everyone turning around and running along…
Hahaha…. Like stampede you know…
We always stick to our idea of standing further far back from the whole crowd…

So when “Qia!!” is sounded…
We can all run for our lives… Hahaha…
Up to the shuttle bus and be in time to catch the action in the temple itself…

That’s the two sedan-chairs to ‘receive’ the god.
Why two? Good question… We asked that before too…
Dad says one is for the God himself, the other for his incense burner…

When the crowd’s back to the temple…
There comes the highlight of the event…
Where the ‘God’ will be ‘invited’ into his temple itself…
HAHA… My terms are so dotxzxzx….

It’s quite a dramatic sight…
The sedan doesn’t go into the temple just like that…
It will shake uncontrollably and goes in and out of the temple into the streets…
You will see commotion here and there…

We always asked dad,
“Does the sedan shake by itself or you all shake it?”

Dad’s reply,
“You will feel a force when you’re holding it”

Hahaha… *suspicious* What an answer…

“Then how you know whether ‘he’ wants to go in already anot?”

Dad, “It’s the FORCE…”

hahaha… Interesting hurh…
Dad says Grandpa was one of the first person to make the sedan chair…
Haha… We’re still questioning him on the validity for this…

Started on administrative work in PVI a week ago…
Oh… I vacuumed the office too OKAY….
hahaha… *claps*

Familiar faces and familiar environment…
Just that I’m back as a different position…
Hmmm…. Ambience is a little different though…

Hopefully, I can help play a part in the location’s growth…
At the same time, keep my learning there as much as possible…
Especially on marketing which seems kinda interesting… =)

And!!! Save MONEY!!! haha…
Even though mum and dad didn’t want me to worry about the uni fees…
I know they’re still fretting over the loans…
I’m of not much help for this…
But I gotta keep my savings going to cover for all these fees in the near future…

SUNDAY.
Sentosa outing with besti and the gim couple…
Splendid day out together…
Though it was just the foursome…
We had fun playing volleyball…
Getting on the courts and sparring with random people… lolzxz…

I PROMISED TO PUT ON SUNBLOCK NEXT TIME!!!!

Boohooo…. Initially when we reached in the morning…
It wasn’t sunny at all..
Shady and breezy weather…
SO…. we just started playing without applying any sunblock…
And now… Had to bear the consequence of the bad decision…

Seriously looking like a drunkard now…
Reddish tanned face…
Or…. maybe… ‘natural blusher’… haha…
Peeling process gonna start soon… OH NO!!!

Just back from training…
Oh no… I felt wobbly…
It’s time to strengthen some muscles and build up that draining-out stamina…
But training was quite fun today…

The only reason to attend training…
Is the company itself… It’s a wrong mindset…
But I’m not afraid of denying…
Without them… There wouldn’t be any motivation anymore…

Oh maybe there’s one more…
To burn some FATS… haha…

Had a great evening before training…
Went to the extreme West of Singapore to meet bestie…
We had bento for dinner…

Then we just hang around…
And while waiting for Woo Lao..
We went to the arcade to play some games…

Non-stop gossip session on the train…
And we reached KNC in a blink…
You know, you wouldn’t feel a tinge of boredom with people of the same frequency around…

Oh ya… So we were talking about English names…
And woo shi rong named herself COTTON… coz COTTON WOO!!!

They were telling me Lydia doesn’t suit me…

Anw, the name Lydia was given to me by my aunty since I was young…
Some friends know me as Lydia…
But mostly, LITING!!! Hahaha….

I should say mostly call me WEELITING…
coz it seems to come in one… weeliting… weeliting… weeliting…

Its five thirty-five in the morning…
And I’m here to blog…

Possibility A: I just rubbed my eyes in disbelief that I actually wake up in this hour…
Possibility B: My head hasn’t tousch the pillow yet for the whole night…

Alright… haha…
There’s not much to guess also…
If you know me well enough, you’ll find the answer DUH!!!

So last night, I headed to meet the company peeps for a little mahjong session at YY’s place…
11pm, I found my way to the POTATO-BLOCK (inside joke)…
Been sometime since I last saw them… =)

We had a little problem for the start…

First, we realized there’s a full set of tiles missing…
And so… We have a heroine going all out in search of the lost tiles…
*Clapclap* for the great effort Ms DO-WHAT-IT-TAKES…

No… Egg… That’s not you… I didn’t say its you…
haha… And so, the lost tiles…

Next, we realized there’s still three missing tiles…
After searching high and low but to no avail, we decided to do this….

Even though we had a hard time figuring out the tiles when any of these 3 lands in our hands, we never fail to have a good laugh everytime it was thrown out…

It was a short session though… Haha…
4.45am… We left her house…
The duo went back to East…
And I got myself a drink at Cheers and started loitering ALONE….
hahaha… I din know where I had that guts to walk alone…
But the place’s kinda bright and there’s still vehicles on the main road…
So yep…

Wanted to wait for the first train but decided to see if there’s any night-rider….
So I came to this bus-stop and found no NR services…
Yet, there’s a cab awaiting… Haha…

Didn’t intended to go home yet coz mummy and daddy are asleep…
And the door’s locked from inside…
But the cab’s TEMPTING!!! haha…

Haha… And I did a quite-pai-seh thing…
But I didn’t care… haha…
I opened the front door of the cab and asked,

“Uncle, the midnight charge until what time arh????”

Doink!!! haha…
The uncle was peeling an orange to eat… Haha… Random…
He told me it’s till 6am…

Then I showed a really sad face….

“Huh… Okay lor…”

And I closed the door… haha…
Juice by the uncle, he signal to me ask me open door…
And he said,

“Where are you going??? I give you discount for the extra charge…“

Hahahahhaaha… *beams*
OKAY!!! OKAY!!! and I hopped on…
That ends the lonely-night-walk-alone…

I clicked off well with the uncle and we went chatting along the way…
He told me he was trying to stop and eat an orange just now… HAHA…

Daddy opened the door for me=)
And here I am blogging…
Haha… Since I have to wake up like in 2hours time…
You know might as well stay awake…
At least I wun oversleep for the outing later…

Alright…
Self medication works AGAIN!!! wahahahaha…
Doctor Wee says I was down with flu according to the following symptoms:

• Fever (Bingo… I felt hot, and I tried finding my thermometer but I gave up cause I couldn’t find it… So forget it… FEVER it is…)

• Headache (Oh yeah… And I didn’t sleep well… Booo =[ )

• Tiredness (Eh…. I dunno if tt’s call tiredness coz I was drowsy all the while…)

• Dry cough (Heh… Not yet… It still feels… erm… WET… haha)

• Sore throat (Oh yes… hate it… I couldn’t sleep well…)

• Stuffy congested nose (Right… And I have to stuff tissues so that I don’t hafta wake up every 2 mins just to blow my nose… Oxygen tank pls…)

• Muscle aches and stiffness (Nopezxz… Din experience this… I was busy sleeping…)

Colour codes for the above symptoms is according to the degree of symptoms experienced by patient Wee with brightest green being totally experience-d and lightest green being partially experience-d….

Alright…. And I tried all means…
To save up those consultation fees…
Cough syrup, panadol, self-medication… WATER!!!

Oh and STREPSILS… honey and lemon flavour *wink*
I dissolved like 12 lozenges within 1 hour…
Cause it tasted good and really aids in relieving sorethroat…
And I tried reading the instrustions for use after that…
It states,

“Dissolve a lozenge slowly in the mouth EVERY 2 TO 3 HOURS. DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE.“ 

Okie… HAPPY NEW YEAR WEELITING!!!
That’s it… I thought… Just go to bed and you’ll still wake up the next day HOPEFULLY…

AND I DID…. wahahahaha…
with my sorethroat totally cured and going into a coughing stage…
Which is recovering I guess…
Alright… Good Job there… Loctor Wee…

Yup… that’s basically what’s up for the past two days…
Sleeping and waking up and sleeping and waking up…
and dissolving STREPSILS… haha…

Oh… And I realised, when one is sick,
there’s a high tendency to have nightmares…
HAHA… is that true???
Cause I experienced it almost all the time…
When you’re all drowsy and worn out,
you tend to dream of scary stuff… haha…

I shall not remind myself of my nightmare…
It’s really scary I tell you…
I woke up in sweat and went to sleep with my didi in their room… Hee…

Brother’s off to Brunei for some survival training…
And will be coming back on the tenth…
Shall go and fetch him that day as promised…

I remembered saying this to myself a week ago…
Simply, MAKE IT HAPPEN…

I went to catch this movie just now…
This movie is about dance and most importantly, pursuing your dream…
There’s not much of climax like what you see in thrilling shows…
It’s simply about a girl embarking on a journey to fulfill her dream as a dancer…

The plot is good, the actors are good…
And most importantly, the idea behind the show is awesome…
I would say, the movie is not totally of a Must-watch…
But… It will be good to be reminded of your dreams once in a while though…
And geared you up even for that little instant and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN…
